Pakistan Cricket Team visit PPIC3 (PSCA), Qurban Lines, Lahore

Players of Pakistan National Cricket Team visited PPIC3, Qurban Lines Lahore, in the leadership of current Team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed with esteemed company of Pakistan Cricket Board Officials and Team Coach, Mickey Arthur. The visit was arranged in escalated security measures deploying special security escorts from Police Response Unit (PRU), Dolphin Squad and Commandos of Elite Force with perpetual visual monitoring of the team routes by PSCA’s veteran PPIC3 units. The delegation was comprised of 7 Cricket Players, namely, Team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Junaid Khan, Yasir Shah, Hassan Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Asad Shafique top-notch PCB Officials and Team Coach, Mickey Arthur who visited PSCA for first-hand assessment of Security Dynamics and Threshold serviced by authority’s premier project. The delegation was apprised of functions, efficacy and structure of the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Center by the Project Director SSP Akbar Nasir Khan and Managing Director DIG Ali Amir Malik in a very interactive and exciting environment. Later on, they were taken to PPIC3’s Operations Monitoring Center (OMC) where they witnessed integrated monitoring and Police Dispatch protocols on screens particularly in live visuals from Qaddafi Stadium, surroundings and all connecting routes.
The whole PCB saga highly appreciated the technologies and practices in place as were demonstrated to them in details and lauded PSCA’s stern efforts for elevated security. Team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed wished if such projects could secure Karachi and other provincial metropolises. Team Coach Mickey Arthur expressed satisfaction and termed Lahore “indeed, a safe city!” He also added that the omens of this project have already reached international cricketing communities making up their minds for the revival of Cricket in Pakistan by choosing to play in such systematically secured capitals. The PCB Officials termed PPIC3 a monumental achievement towards integrated policing in Punjab and an incorporation of Chief Minister’s vision of Digital Punjab. The PCB delegation was, later, awarded with shields, shirts and souvenirs from the management of PSCA.
