PSCA RESTORED STOP-LINES AT 50 PLACES

ALL STOP-LINES ACROSS METROPOLIS TO BE RESTORED IN A WEEK

RESTORATION WILL FACILITATE PUBLIC AND INDUCE LAWFULNESS: SPOKESPERSON PSCA

Lahore Oct 13:

The phased implementation of PSCA’s Intelligent Traffic Management System prompted Punjab Safe Cities Authority, on Saturday, to restore Traffic drawings and emblems on roads for optimum regulation with reference to E-Challaning. The move was initiated on the instructions of Lahore High Court’s Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi to facilitate general public in following traffic laws. In the first step PSCA restored and improved 50 Stop-lines at pivotal intersections with its own resources so that people may easily follow the signals and know where to stop on a red light. It is worth mentioning here that PSCA’s E-Challaning is currently stipulating fines on felonies of signal jumping alone. In order to enforce the spirit of lawfulness and to consolidate its resolve of an accident-free safe city; PSCA restored Stop-lines at Barkat Market, Expo Center, New Campus, Ayub Chowk, Judicial Colony Thokar, Naqsha Stop, Bhaikewal More, Doctors Hospital and Gulzar Underpass Sites during last night. PSCA will restore all Stop-lines across the metropolis within a week’s time, said the spokesperson while hoping for an improved traffic regulation post restoration.
