Lahore Feb 5:

In pursuit of CM Punjab’s vision, PSCA is poised to set off three similar projects in Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi. Responding to the speculative buzz on media regarding uncertainty of funding to Punjab Safe Cities Authority and future projects, Chief Operating Officer PSCA Akbar Nasir Khan clarified that there was no current or proposed suspension of government funds to PSCA announced whatsoever. He explained that the authority enjoyed full confidence and patronage of current government thanks to the similar projects announced for cities such as Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Nankana and Sheikhupura by CM Punjab in continuation of expansion of PSCA across Punjab. It is commendable that the government is executing self-sufficiency policy indiscriminately however, Safe City Project, after completion, will fully rely on Punjab Government budget as in all expanses, including but not limited to, salaries and wages will be borne by Punjab Government on a whole, he said. PSCA is vividly instrumental in achieving intelligent traffic management, environmental protection, law enforcement, funds generation and sustenance, he added.
