The Virtual Women Police Station, launched by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), is Pakistan’s first initiative of its kind, inaugurated on April 22, 2024, as “Meri Awaz…Maryam Nawaz.” It allows women to report issues like harassment without visiting a physical station, ensuring privacy and convenience. Accessible via the 15 Call, Women Safety App (with live chat and video call features), Punjab Police App, and Safe City web portal, it guides women through the entire process—from FIR registration to trial. Since its launch, it has received over 50,000 complaints, addressing women’s safety needs across Punjab. This innovative system empowers women by prioritizing their security and leveraging modern technology for efficient law enforcement support.
