Inspector General Punjab has officially inaugurated the Safe City “Crime Stoppers” service. According to details, the Crime Stoppers service allows responsible citizens to confidentially report crimes in their vicinity. Citizens can report crimes through two channels: by calling the Safe City Crime Stoppers number 033SAFECITY (03372332489) or by submitting visual or video evidence with confidential information on the Safe City website, www.psca.gop.pk. The number of the person calling Safe City Crime Stoppers is not revealed, ensuring confidentiality. The service encourages reporting on drug dealers, terrorists, brothel operators, and other criminal activities. Information can also be provided on dacoits, wanted individuals, counterfeiters, and those involved in sexual crimes, drug trafficking, illegal weapons, and theft of electricity, gas, and water.
IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Akram, stated that the identity of those contacting the Safe City Crime Stoppers service remains confidential. He further urged the public to introduce the service for community policing, emphasizing the importance of timely reporting to the police with a sense of urban security. Before taking action, the police will verify the accuracy of the information through appropriate channels. After confirming the information, legal action will be taken against criminal individuals. Citizens are encouraged to play their role in ensuring a bright and safe future for their children.
It is reiterated that the “Safe City Crime Stoppers” service is specifically for providing confidential information. In case of any emergency or urgent situation, citizens are advised to contact 15.
آئی جی پنجاب نے سیف سٹی “کرائم سٹاپرز” سروس کا باقاعدہ افتتاح کر دیا۔تفصیلات کے مطابق کرائم سٹاپرز سروس کے ذریعے ذمہ دار شہری اپنے ارد گرد جرائم کی روک تھام کیلئے خفیہ اطلاع دے سکیں گے۔سیف سٹی کرائم سٹاپرز پر جرائم کی خفیہ اطلاع دو طریقے سے دی جا سکتی ہے۔شہری کرائم سٹاپرز نمبر 033SAFECITY یعنی 03372332489 پر کال کر سکتے ہیں۔سیف سٹی ویب سائٹ www.psca.gop.pk پر بھی تصویری یا ویڈیو شواہد کیساتھ خفیہ معلومات دی جاسکتی ہیں۔سیف سٹی کرائم سٹاپرز پر کال کرنے والے کا نمبر ظاہر نہیں ہوتا اور رازداری یقینی رہتی ہے۔”کرائم سٹاپرز” پر منشیات فروشوں، دہشت گردوں، قحبہ خانہ چلانے والوں کی اطلاع دی جا سکتی ہے۔کرائم سٹاپرز پر ڈکیتوں، اشتہاری ملزمان و عدالتی مفرور، جعلی مصنوعات بنانے والوں کی اطلاع دی جا سکتی ہے۔جنسی جرائم، جوئے کے اڈے، انسانی سمگلنگ، ناجائز اسلحے اور بجلی گیس پانی چوری بارے خفیہ اطلاع بھی دی جاسکتی ہے۔’’سیف سٹی کرائم سٹاپر سروس‘‘ پر رابطہ کرنے والوں کی شناخت کسی صورت ظاہر نہیں ہوتی۔اس موقع پر آئی جی پنجاب ڈاکٹر عثمان اکرم کا کہنا تھاکہ سروس کمیونٹی پولیسنگ کے فروغ کیلئے متعارف کروائی، شہری احساس تحفظ کے ساتھ بروقت پولیس کو اطلاع دیں۔کارروائی سے پہلے پولیس مناسب زرائع سے اطلاع کے درست ہونے کی تصدیق یقینی بنائے گی۔اطلاعات کی تصدیق کے بعد جرائم پیشہ افراد کو کیفر کردار تک پہنچایا جائے گا۔شہری اپنے بچوں کے روشن اور محفوظ مستقبل کیلئے اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔ان کا مزید کہنا تھاکہ یاد رہے کہ ’’سیف سٹی کرائم سٹاپرز‘‘ سروس صرف خفیہ اطلاع دینے کیلئے ہے۔کسی بھی ہنگامی صورتحال یا ایمرجنسی کی صورت میں شہری 15 پر ہی رابطہ کریں۔
