The Punjab safe cities authority on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). On this occasion, chief operating officer PSCA Muhammad Kamran Khan and professors of LUMS were presented in the ceremony.
The chief operating officer Punjab safe cities authority DIG Muhammad kamran Khan and Voice chancellor LUMS Arshad Ahmed signed the MOU.

The purpose of this public-private partnerships was to render expertise from academia devising project planning, technical support, financial/economic appraisal, project design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. PSCA seeks to develop capacity and technical support to ensure that development projects are successful, cost effective and efficient.

Moreover, Addressing the Ceremony, Chief operating officer PSCA said it’s an excellent endeavor to formalize a strong public private partnership with academia working in the development sector. He further added that this partnership would not only provide technical support and expertise but would also incorporate the services of highly qualified and experienced professionals, researchers, teachers of public and private sector universities to facilitate the development process.

Addressing the ceremony, the professor of LUMS said that PSCA research data will be utilized for the intelligent traffic management and smart city.
It will be a landmark corporation to save the public money by using modern technique of traffic.
