Safe City apprehended the driver of a vehicle attempting to harass a girl here on Friday. According to details, a private taxi driver attempted to harass a university-going girl. The distressed girl from the Raiwind area made a call at the emergency 15 helpline. The Safe City team provided assistance and immediately alerted the police to the need for rescue. Nawab Town Police promptly reached the scene and rescued the girl. The suspect’s vehicle was traced through Safe City cameras, and an arrest was made. The spokesperson for the Safe Cities Authority stated that women should install the “Women Safety App” on their mobiles to ensure their safety. Women can avail immediate assistance through live chat and the emergency feature of the Women Safety App. So far, more than 300,000 women have installed the Punjab Police Women Safety App.
