CITIZEN CAN CHECK THEIR VEHICLE’S E-CHALLAN BY SENDING CHASSIS NUMBER THROUGH SMS TO 8815: IG PUNJAB

IG PUNJAB INAM GHANI PRESIDES OVER PSCA’S 9TH MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING
Inspector General Police Punjab Inam Ghani presided over the 9th Management Committee Meeting of Punjab Safe Cities Authority here on Friday. Inam Ghani inaugurated the newly developed E-Challan sms system for common citizens. Now every citizen can check its vehicle’s E-Challan by simply sending his Chassis number through an sms to “8815”. In response the citizen will get the information on all outstanding e-challans and payable fines through text sms immediately. This has resolved the issue of all such citizen who are not getting their E-Challans at their addresses because their vehicle is not registered on their names. All Bank lease and company registered vehicle users will also be able to get e-challan information easily, said the Inspector General Punjab. Now citizens can check e-challans of their vehicles at any time via sms, IG Inam Ghani added. It was also briefed in the meeting that another facility is being provided to the citizen that from now on all citizens will receive an sms on their registered number in case of every new e-challan. The inspector General Punjab reviewed the upgradation of specially designed software for Lahore Police Investigation officers to obtain video evidence from PSCA. The IG also reviewed the under-develop “Dolphin Squad Tracking System” through which senior command will be able to monitor the movement of Dolphin Squads 24/7. IG Punjab appreciated the performance of Punjab Safe Cities Authority and said that the modern IT tools and infrastructure is helping in performing the duties efficiently. PSCA’s 9th Management Committee meeting was attended by MD Rao Sardar Ali Khan, COO Muhammad Kamran Khan, CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, DIG Operations Sajid Kayani, SP Dolphin Rashid Hidayat, Operations Commander Asim Jasra and representatives of Finance Department, Planning and Development Department and Home Department Punjab. IG Punjab also recorded a special program with PSCA Web Channel during his visit to the authority.
