Punjab Safe Cities Authority Organized 4 days long “Online Training Session” for Staff and Police Communication Officers of PSCA here on Friday. According to details, the purpose behind the Psychosocial Support Training (GBV response to COVID-19) was to educate PSCA Staff and PCOs regarding Gender Based Violence, Harassment, Stress Relief, Sexual Assault, Communication Skills and Anger Management in collaboration with “UNFPA” and “Rozan”. During the training, different sessions are conducted on the following topics i.e. Understanding COVID-19 Impact, Psychosocial Support for GBV Survivors, Impact of COVID-19 on Women, Girls’ and Children Lives (GBV Vulnerabilities), Safety Planning for GBV Vulnerabilities, Skills Practice and Mental health, Ethical Standards, Documentation and Self-Care.
On this occasion, Chief Administration Officers of PSCA, Muhammad Kamran Khan said that “Training was conducted by ensuring Coronavirus Safety Measures. The purpose of the training was to educate the staff about Controlling Nerve Strain”. PSCA Staff and PCOs shared their views i.e. Survivor Centric Communication skills are good for better facilitation and will be helpful in handling the panic and critical 15 calls.
