Punjab Safe Cities Authority has released e-challenging statistics for this year. According to the details, 616,018 challans have been issued since January of this year. Out of which 340,000 vehicles, 258,000 motorcycles and rickshaws, and 9,000 commercial vehicles were sent E- challans. According to the Spokesperson of PSCA, An amount of Rs 42,266,400 has been deposited in the national exchequer in the form of e-challenging fines of this year, and Last year, more than Rs 250 million fines were deposited in the national treasury. The spokesperson further said that in order to avoid any inconvenience, citizens should ensure payment of the e-challan penalty by the due date.
