ONE FEELS SAFER IN LAHORE AFTER SEEING PSCA WORKING AND CAPACITY: UN CHIEF SECURITY ADVISOR
A SENIOR DELEGATION FORM UN SAFETY AND SECURITY DEPARTMENT VISITS PSCA; EXPRESSES KEEN INTEREST IN PROJECT

A senior delegation from the United Nations Department of Safety and security visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority headquarters here on Monday. The delegation was led by Chief Security Advisor of UNDSS Ms. Catherine Mackenzie whereas the deputy security advisor Mr. Johan Douglas was also accompanying her. The Chief Operating Officer Punjab Safe Cities Authority Muhammad Kamran Khan welcomed and briefed the delegation about working of the authority. The UN delegation expressed keen interest in an integrated system of modern policing. On the occasion, UN Chief Security Advisor Ms. Catherine Mackenzie said that we consider ourselves much safer in Lahore after seeing the working of Safe Cities Authority. She said that Lahore’s safety index has improved significantly due to PSCA’s positive interventions. Catherine Mackenzie said the Safe Cities Authority was taking the best possible steps to make Lahore safer and such projects are much needed to maintain law and order situation in metropolis. The UN delegation head said that the Safe Cities project has significantly improved traffic flow and law enforcement in the city. The COO presented a commemorative shield to Chief Security Advisor Ms. Katherine Mackenzie.
