The process of hiring new police communication officers in the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has been completed. According to details, keeping merit and transparency, candidates were selected after tests and interviews. 308 candidates were shortlisted, and they will undergo phased training. Out of them, 253 candidates were appointed on open merit, 53 women on quota, and 2 minorities on quota. The training for the first phase of 60 selected candidates has commenced. According to the spokesperson of Safe Cities, the new police communication officers are being trained at the Operation and Monitoring Centre and the Electronic Data Analysis Center. Officers are receiving training in the Media Management Centre, Emergency 15 Call Centre, and E-Challan System. The training for the next selected candidates will be conducted in phases.
