United Nations Fund for Population Activities delegation visited PSCA here on Thursday, the 3 member delegation was led by the advisor of UNPFA for Women empowerment Dr.Aida Orgocka. During this visit chief operating officer Punjab Safe Cities Authority Muhammad Kamran khan gave a detailed briefing about the authority and the mobile application developed by the PSCA especially for Women. On this occasion an MOU was signed between the UNFPA and PSCA aims to strengthen the women and enhance the features of existing application to improve the reporting of violence harassment faced by the women. Under the agreement authority will do more to protect women in collaboration with UNFPA. UNFPA will also support in building the institutional capacity and establishing systems through a series of trainings on the gender related themes and also educate women about the PSCA’s Women Safety Application in order to make the women’s security more effective. According to the spokesperson initially UNFPA will conduct various training seminars and awareness campaigns to promote the women safety application and empower women.
